A Little Bit Of Pop!

When you hear the phrase "Pop culture", what's the first word that comes to your mind? is it a catchy beats? Something you can dance to, or maybe even corny mushy lyrics.Per definition, describes the lifestyle and tastes of the majority of mostly younger generations.  Pop music Has been around since the 50's and has changed drastically through out the many years. We've seen groups come, we've seen them go, and we've seen quite a few who've shaken up the genre  a great deal! Many a time I wonder what ever happened to a lot of those great groups like Backstreet Boys, Danity Kane. N'sync, Spice Girls, 90 Degrees, Dream, 3LW and the list goes on. I guess things didn't quite pan out . Many of them lost their chemistry, and desired to venture out on their own.

On the contrary today's latest pop acts are getting younger and more diverse by the moment!  Groups like One Direction, OMG Girlz, The Wanted,  Mindless behavior their all you hear on the radio! And although most of the a fore mentioned are still fairly new, they've managed to put up some staggering and extremely impressive Numbers. Like One Directions hit single What Makes You beautiful spent a total of 406 weeks on the charts (via aCharts.us), Mindless Behavior with  the up tempo hip hop tunes Mrs. Right and #1 shared a combined 40 weeks on the charts, for them to only be teenagers those numbers are OMG girls are probably one the only teen girl group out as of yet with sold out shows and appearing in some cities twice while touring.

Of course i won't neglect to mention the Solo pop acts that do it all on their own. Brother and sister Jayden and Willow Smith Have created Brands from their new found fame. Jayden has a clothing line called Misfits (which him and his sister actually wear and work on together) and Miss Willow is gonna be staring in the Famous Play "Annie" where she' actually gets to play the Red haired orphan (I think that's pretty cool and exciting) Disney and Nickelodeon stars turned pop princess's and Film favorites Demi Lovato and Keke Palmer both started on television with really popular shows like  Sonny with a Chance and Camp Rock,  where as Keke Palmer who started out in Movies like Akeelah and The Bee, and Madea's Family Reunion, both of these beautiful young ladies are making their own noise on the music scene. Demi recently released her second solo album entitled "Unbroken" while Keke  released a self-titled EP earlier this year! This young generation of pop is taking over and taking charge, Can't wait to see what they're like when they get older. I can only imagine a bunch of Beyonce's and Diddys -@Meangirl_ro
