Vote or Die!

Time is ticking! You now have a little under 48 hours to meet the voter's registration deadline. Officials are requesting that all registration forms at least be postmarked by October 9, 2012 to be considered for this upcoming election. Those pesky "Are you registered to vote?" people outside of the supermarket will now be of use. You can also visit your nearest Department of Motor Vehicles and complete the form. They are also offering to mail the form off for you upon completion.

In no way would I pretend to be political; however we speak on so many issues in today's world and a simple vote can change our lives, directly or indirectly. The primary election is such a big deal! Whom you vote for is totally up to you, JUST VOTE! I've heard complaints of standing in line for too long as an excuse to not vote. It saddens me because people camp out in front of stores to purchase Jordans several times a year. Is this what our lives have come to?

In comparison to previous elections, most states are now requiring voters to provide a valid ID at the polls along with their voter's registration card. Many believe this is an act that was implemented to keep parties from voting. That is arguably valid. On the other hand, it is being reported that the reason for this change is to help prevent voting fraud. Find out what is required within your state here.

Election Day is November 6, 2012 (29 days from today)! Get out and be heard! Grab a friend(s) and/or family member... We only have our FUTURES to lose!

Have you registered yet?
