Who Wore It Better?

It’s a dress faceoff! Songstress Kelly Rowland wore this pink embellished Balmain Fall 2013 dress for her judging duties on X-Factor last night & actress Kate Bosworth wore the exact same dress to the 2013 Met Gala. Kate accessorized her dress with a gold belt & black pumps. Kelly chose to wear the dress as is, paired with nude pumps. I think both ladies look nice, but Kelly killed it. She looks amazing. Yo Gotti Is

After years and years of grinding, failed attempts at breaking into mainstream (which has never really been his main focus), and pushing his own music, Yo Gotti is finally able to move how he wants and stomp with the best of them. With an impeccable and already extensive discography, we can now add this 6th studio effort I am to a list of classics. Aside from the release of this album (which is projected to sell anywhere between 40-45k units), the Memphis household name has also announced his partnership signing deal with Epic Records and long time business partner L.A. Reid.



No one can tell me, or debate me even that his work ethic and consistency is anything less than persistent. There is no denying that. If you follow his career, you'd know that he brought himself out of not one, but two record deals ( TVT and RCA), started his own label, and has been moving units and doing numbers independently. He personifies the word Hustler! Period. Now that he has his deal with Epic (distributing through CMG), he is able to continue doing what he's been doing  only on a larger scale. Currently, Yo Gotti has four singles making their way up the charts Act right (makes me feel like I should be in a booty club),  King Sh*t  Feat. T.I., Lebron James (one of my faves), and Cold Blood Feat. J. Cole.



This week Gotti is making his rounds in between touring (which he is headlining) promoting the new project and of course he stopped by my favorite morning show The Breakfast Club. He dished on everything from his new deal, to rumors with him signing with T.I. (not true), beef with Gucci Mane and Juicy J, learning from his mistakes of signing two bad deals, and more! The album I AM can be purchased in stores and of course via iTunes (total of 13 tracks, and over 7 features).

keeping Up With Kanye

It's official! I think Kanye has lost a bit of his marbles. His interviews and Point of Views are getting more and more reckless by the sit down. Just Yesterday Kanye took to the Ellen DeGeneres show to premiere his last visual for the "Bound 2" single.

    

Unsurprisingly, his co-star is none other than his "baby mama" Kim Kardashian. The video I'm not a fan of, period. It's one of those visuals where your creativeness has to be in a certain arena to understand. Kanye, you lost me there! Nonetheless, I still love the song!

Kanye also stopped by Philly's hot 107.9 Morning show to chop it up with Shamara and Laiya. The two asked Kanye if he and the President, Barack Obama  will one day sit down and have dinner (basically deading the "beef") Kanye quickly declined! When the two ladies begged Kanye to leave first lady alone, he quickly shot back " Well I think he shouldn't mention my baby mama name"

    

I love Kimye as an item, I do. What I dislike is the fact that he feels that as a couple, the two of them (pr three even, if you count baby North) are invincible and off limits! I truly believe Kanye is still dealing with the loss of his mother, which doesn't give him a pass for being a dick, but it definitely justifies him acting out. IDK you be the judge!

TLC Sets the Record Straight

After Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story aired on VH1, all hell broke loose because Perri “Pebbles” Reid didn’t think she was portrayed correctly in the film. If you haven’t had a chance to catch the flick yet, Pebbles is responsible for discovering TLC & making them the household name they are today. What the public witnessed was all the fame they attained, but behind the scenes they had absolutely nothing to show for it. The girls were young & naive when they got into the music industry & she took advantage of that. They signed contracts that they weren’t able to thoroughly read & ended up dead broke while Pebbles reaped all the benefits of their hard work. Obviously anyone would consider her a villain after seeing that play out, but of course Pebbles claims that depiction is false.

There has been nonstop controversy since the world got to witness what went down on the movie. In most recent news Pebbles did an interview with Wendy Williams making accusations about Chilli having an affair with her then husband L.A. Reid, that T-Boz & Left Eye were the ones who suggested Chilli be kicked out of the group, & of course more about the movie not displaying the truth about her. The T & C of TLC quickly denied all of her accusations. They even took to Twitter to throw shade at the now Pastor Pebbles saying, “Yall need 2 watch what church y'all walk into cuz I'll tell ya some of these so-called MINISTERS might get struck by lightning at any moment.”

This feud only seems to be getting worse & could go on for a while. Promise to keep you updated on the TLC VS Pebbles drama.

Watching a Rihanna video is like attending a therapy session. You go through so many different emotions because you never know what to expect! As the intro fades in my eyes are focused on the screen. With "What Now" being one of my Favorite songs from the Unapologetic album, I'm wondering where such a twisted treatment came from!

                                   

Ri's on screen schizophrenic act (to aid in shooting the video) was setup in an abandoned warehouse like setting, shot in classic black and white. Dark makeup, dark hair.  The demented and eerie visual was directed by Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craven, and Darren Craig (who also had hands in Disturbia and Russian Roulette)  were definitely on point with the edginess and tricky camera movements.



How perfect would this have been for a Halloween release?! It's definitely giving me a Poltergeist, Paranormal Activity, Exorcist, The Ring kinda feel. I'll admit though, as weird as it is, it's one of those things where you tell yourself "I can't look" but don't take your eyes off the screen for one second. Great job Ri, you've done it again! Anxious to see what Queen Bey is gonna do for this Bow Down Video!

Umm no, Jennifer

I'm sorry did I miss something?  The last thing I want to do is sound like a hater. I get it, she has a story, a huge voice, and had overcame so many obstacles (losing basically her whole family) and all of those things. But if that's the case, there are plenty of other celebrities who deserve stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame besides  Jennifer Hudson. Unless I've been out of the loop (which I seriously doubt), I need to be made aware of of all the "other" awesome accomplishments she's attained.

Not knocking her or disagreeing that she's had a huge turn around these past few years, but I just feel that the value of quality talent and accolades to deserve such an honor were held at a much higher standard. I'm proud of JHud and all that she's coming into, let's not confuse that with hate or jealousy! The sudden star just confuses me a bit.

          

Just recently, Kanye had a semi rant on Jimmy Kimmel live about sources saying that Kim Kardashian (his Fiance`) doesn't deserve a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame because she's not really considered a real celebrity and doesn't quite meet any of the "requirements". Well Kanye, I beg to differ my friend. If  JHud so obscurely and mysteriously was graced with the honor I don't see why Kim's star shouldn't be next. *Shrug* #NoShadeTho

GO NICOLE!

Outside of My own work, my go to site for solid, credible, and interesting entertainment news is Necole Btichie. My first stop for "tea". She was recently the recipient  of "Blogger Of the Year" by Black Weblog Awards. I didn't even have to watch the speech because reading the words in her post gave me all that I needed. She spoke my life. The fact that she questioned and doubted her journey reassured me that what I'm doing is exactly right! Patience and persistence are key. So many times we question why we're here, I believe that Necole is proof that whatever is suppose to happen will!

I want to take a moment to personally congratulate her and thank her for her light and inspiration. She is a role model. She is a dream, a voice, and a positive example. When I found out that she was 33 I was beyond shocked! She began her career and started her site at the same place and age I'm at in this very moment. Her story and her passion is admired by not only me, but aspiring bloggers everywhere!

She has also been nominated for a Soul Train Music Award for Best Entertainment Site for the second year in a row (I believe). Like Necole, I desire to build a brand and create my own opportunity, where it serves as an inspiration to young girls as well as women my age. I think back to 2009 when I first began blogging. I was telling all of my personal life stories and struggles. My blogs were overly personal (the only way I really know how to be) and the only people that read them were my family members. My aunt read one post and decided that I needed to write a book. At the time I waved it off like "sure, whatever", but today it's a goal I'm working toward because something inside me won't let that go. It's almost inevitable.

I used to be concerned about my audience, and page views but my passion for my purpose no longer allows space for that to be a concern. I'm doing what I love and am determined to make something of it. Necole has a great influence on that. Thank you!

Baby North Out & About

Kim Kardashian revels in being an open book, displaying her life & personal business for the world to see, Papa West on the other hand is the complete opposite. Of course Kim is doing her very best to cater to her man’s wishes, which includes keeping their daughter out of the lime light. This is why Kim went into hiding after having baby North & since giving birth we’ve only seen two pictures of her at her parent’s discretion.

So for those of you who have been anxious to get another glimpse of little Nori I have a special treat for you. Kim & Kanye dined at a restaurant in Santa Barbra & they brought North along. This is the first time the baby girl has actually been seen in public. Take a look at the photo below. It doesn’t get anymore adorable than that!

Oh Boi!

First of all, It was definitely news to me to find  out that 1/2 of the internationally known super rap group Outkast' Big Boi (Aka Atwan Patton) is going through a divorce with his wife of 11 years, Sherlita Patton. Sherlita filed for the divorce on October 3rd a little over a month ago under the basis that their relationship/marriage was "irretrievably broken".

There was a deposition held on yesterday regarding the ongoing dispute. Before granting the two a legal separation, Sherlita made a very shocking and seemingly unreal allegation that her husband and partner of 11 long years was, dare I say it, "Gay". Even more so going as far as accusing him of having a down low relationship with his rap group mate Andre 3000 (Andre Benjamin)! During the deposition (held yesterday at an Atlanta courthouse) Sources are saying that Sherlita has been saying things like "the whole world wondering where Andre 3k been... just check Big Boi's phone. He's right there, naked." And "You might see an Outkast p0rn0 before you'll see another album".



Initially and even currently I refuse to believe such a rumor, at least I'm hoping for it to be a sick,  "desperate cry for attention" kind of rumor. Secondly this certainly raises many questions and eyebrows like: why the two are in such a weird space musically? Are they going to reunite and make more music? If the two are still even friends? How long has this (if anything) been going on? So on and so forth. 

As a woman, I blame her, the wife. Call me crazy but it is my opinion. If at any point his sexuality and faithfulness was being questioned (which I'm sure came to surface waaaaaay before 11 yrs of a union) why not take action at the first signs of infidelity or uncertainty?

The other day we sipped some tea on Porsha and Kordell Stewart, who, oddly enough are going through an identical situation and are located in the same area (Atlanta is known to be the city of the down low brothers) as well as both women making that exact allegation toward their significant other. I can't tell if it's a coincidence or a conspiracy! Either way, I don't understand why these women are trying to take the victim route, that's not fair. If for whatever reason your situation isn't working then you just leave. Make it as simple as that, or no?

 I'm really wondering how the two men (Antwan and Kordell) are planning to come out of this. I'm also wondering how, or even if Andre is going to respond/comment on this ridiculousness! I'll keep my eyes and ears open, but in the mean time these people definitely need prayer.

Really Justin?!

We get it Justin you're getting older, you're coming into your man hood and the media won't leave you alone. In the same token I so desperately feel that you can't help but draw this negative attention to yourself with the way you're carrying on!

Your latest shenanigans involve you getting caught slipping. Even more ridiculous is the fact that the girl is a prostitute. SMH you have got to do better honey!  Question how did you even manage to fall asleep? She's not your girl! But then again when in Brazil, Do as Brazilians do?? *Side eye*

I'm not condoning this kind of activity by any means but if you're gonna do it be discreet! Pay her for services rendered and send her to her next customer! The end. I sure hope you learned a lesson! Smart girl, that Selena for removing herself from that situation IJS. MESSY JESSY!

Still The BIGGEST Boss

                                 

Rick Ross stopped by The Breakfast Club morning show early this am in honor of their relocating to Miami. He touched on many different topics such as his 6th studio project "Mastermind", his relationship and collaborating with Jay Z, and future ventures that he's getting into!

When asked about beef, he got really deep and it was quite a touching moment. He basically stated that life is bigger than beef and he decided not to partake in responding, as far as the whole Fifty incident was concerned. I thought that was very Boss Like of him.

In the mean time, Ross also released a visual for his heavily rotated new single with Future "No Games", which would serve as just enough to hold us over until the album drops December 17th.
