Did Lady Gaga go too far?

Ok, don't get me wrong... I love Lady Gaga and her originality, but when a picture of her wearing a cage-like head piece I had one of these --> o_O look on my face.

The headpiece featured hanging gold chains and a golden cherub.

I believe in standing out and having your own style, but she had me scratching my head on this one.
