I have been trying my hardest to ignore this trolling that Lil' Kim has yet again brought forth with Nicki Minaj. I refuse to call it a beef because it is clearly ONE SIDED.Anywho, here goes. Nicki came busting down the doors of female hip hop with her Sucka Free Mixtape where she had her discoverer (if you will), Lil wayne host the tape. That was in 2008, It's pretty much been on since then.
Nicki has truly branded herself into the ultimate business machine. She's released over five fragrances, has cosmetic deals with MAC, easily transitioned to the big screen with a number one Box Office movie. and she had her own brand of some pretty tasty Moscato (Myx). Right now she has two hit singles on the charts, Anaconda at number one and Bang Bang at number two. Say what you want, but she's on her game.
Lil Kim has some pretty impressive credentials of her own as well. Hard Core went certified double platinum and to this day is one of my favorite rap albums of all time! She has a Grammy and tons of other noted accolades, magazine covers and awards. Case in point, you had your time mama! You gave up your throne when your plastic surgery disabled you to speak clearly and you allowed yourself to become irrelevant! Now you attempt a Hard Core Mixtape and tour? There will NEVER be another Hardcore, just like there will never be another lil kim (The 90's version)
I honestly can't remember the first time the Kim beef came about but she has been crying for some attention and is begging for her throne back. She's been throwing jabs left and right, whether it be in songs, interviews, IG posts, whatever!! The only reason she is still even being looked at a second time is because she has Nicki's name in her mouth. she spitting bars like "Am I trippin' or did this ho just say my name? / Queen of rap? F--k outta here / Queen's back, f--k outta here / Time to get this rap bitch up outta here," seriously, how do you just say to yourself "yea I'll just hop on this track and kill it, oh and diss the original artists while i'm at it"!?
Here is my thing "A hit dog will holler" Lil Kim (who just had a baby five minutes ago and she's jabbing at somebody) is tremendously offended and feels she's owns all rights to the "queen of rap" title. #Mistaken! She's mad that her career failed and Nicki is doing what she wishes she could be doing; #winning. Funny thing is FROM THE VERY BEGINNING NICKI HAS PAID HOMAGE AND IDOLIZED KIM, but she clearly took it as some sort of mockery or disrespect. God has a special seat in the Karma room for her. The girl even went so far as to title her new single "Identity Theft" with album art of Nicki's face #iCant

Bottom line, Yes I was a Kim fan, she did a lot for the game and was a protege for one of the best to ever do it. Yes I am a nicki fan because not only is her music allowing her to shine but she's showing todays woman how to be about her business.
