Beach babe

So this reality chick Draya (Basketball Wives; Seasons 1 & 2) has her own line of swimwear.

I do NOT, I repeat do NOT watch the show. I just do not find it interesting in the least. But many others feel differently. Anywho, her line is called Mint Swim. I took notice after she posted a pic of Cassie rocking "The Show" (pictured below).

Cassie honestly has one of the best bodies out, in my opinion. I have always thought she was really trendy and wears things that always complement her frame.

I took the extra step to peek at the rest of Draya's creations and I found them to be.. ummm how do you say.. basic?!

 "The Hotel Lobby"

They start off at $55 each, which is not bad I guess. Or am I crazy?

Her site only lists the swimwear in two sizes, surprisingly.

"Size A - One Size fits all small... brazilian minimal coverage
Size B - One size fits all small/medium that offers more coverage"

I'm sure I can point out 10 people that cannot fit into either of those "sizes". I have always loathed the term "one size fits all". I don't care, I don't care, I don't care SOMEBODY LYIN'!

Here are a few more of her creations (there are only 4):

 "The After Party"

 "The Hangover"

I think with a little more expertise she can become a bit more versatile and produce something worth buying. I will not say she did not do well this go round but the line def has a "beginner's" touch to it. It does have potential, however. What do you think of Draya's Mint Swim?

Khloe Kardashian X Factor Fashion

Back in November my Favorite Kardashian, Khloe joined the X Factor family as one of the host along with Mario Lopez. I've never been a fan of the show, but I checked it out just because she was on there & I found myself constantly tuning in after that. Not because I wanted to check out the talent, but to check out Khole's wardrobe. Every episode she had on a fabulous outfit, her makeup was beat, & her hair was flawless. Her glam squad is really doing their thing with her these days. Khloe keep serving hunny! Check out some of my favorite KK looks from this past season of  The X Factor...

The Do's and The Do Not's of 2012

2012 is almost over!  As I look back at the year, there were some interesting fashion trends that happened this year.  Which many, of those I loved!

I want to know which trends you loved/disliked.  I have listed a few things that I remember trending this year.

First up, Neon colors. I personally am not a fan of neon colors.. but some people can definitely rock the heck out of it!

Second up, Studs. This is definitely one of my favorites...I'm sorry if any of you feel that this is out of style, but I will be rocking studs until the studs are rusted! lolol.

Third, the long lash look. Like many girls.women, I love to wear mascara! So, this long lash look is definitely a yes from me!

Fourth, Bold Lips. Either you are someone who can pull this look off, or you just can't.

Fifth, the Ombre colored hair trend. I love the ombre look but I feel like this look will eventually fade away.

Sixth, Denim on Denim. I LOVE THE LOOK as long as you don't wear matching denim colors.  (then you end up looking like Justin Timberlake and Brittany Spears back when they were dating)

Last, but not lease...one of my favorites! Print on Print. I am a big fan of the print on print look as well.  not a fan of polk dots / stripes though.

A Very "Thug Life" Christmas!

Rihanna and Chris Brown share a 'ThugLife' Christmas!

Christmas is apparently the time to reconnect. As Rihanna cuddled up with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown at a Laker's game on Christmas, the romantic reunion that's been speculated for months was all but confirmed. Cozying up in the courtside seats, the two giggled together and Rihanna playfully wiped her companion's face, offering even more damning evidence than the Instagram pic or the Berlin getaway that the two are an item again. The duo also posted an arty black-and-white photo with the gag-us title, "ThugLife #merryChristmas." - What are you thoughts?

half shaved.

so many things that are "popular" eventually fade away...

I am a huge fan of the half shaved hair styles but definitely not brave enough to rock the style myself.

What are your thoughts about the style? Do you think the style will fade away? or is it already a faded style?

Which celebrity wore the style best?

5 Ways to Rock Leather this season

5 Ways to Wear Leather This Season

Ciara leather dress     Always find yourself looking for leather when you’re out              shopping? No? Well it’s time that you do!
Whether you’re a fan of leather or not, you’ve got to admit that this look has come a very long way. What was once known for scary biker dudes with mustaches or women donning latex and whips is now looking much classier these days.
From delicate piping on a blouse to autumn-perfect skirts, don’t miss out on this hot trend. Here are 5 ways you can rock leather this season! — Vicki Valery

1. The Leather Dress

Paired with heeled leather ankle boots or simple pumps, you will look on-trend without trying too hard. Shy away from any add-ons that are loud and will compete with your dress for the spotlight. Earrings are optional, just remember minimal is key.

Kim K leather leggings

2. Leather Leggings

Be sure to accessorize accordingly. For an evening look, choose shoes with a heel. For a more casual daytime look, try a pair of wedge or flat booties. The most popular look being with a chic blazer and simple tee, tunics in silk, satin, or a thin cashmere work nicely against the look of leather as well.

Jennifer Lopez leather skirt

3. Leather Skirt

For a daytime look, pair the sleek skirt with a jersey top or sweater and a pair of simple flats. Drinks after-work? Throw on your heels and complete the look! Leather skater skirt are popular this season as well!

Alicia Keys leather sleeves

4. Accents of leather

If you’re looking to play it safe, leather accents are the way to go. Leather sleeves or panelling on a jacket can still go a long way. It’s a subtle way to ease into the trend if you’re not so ready for it.

5. Leather top

Add a dash of chic to separates with the peplum leather top. It looks best over sleek bottoms like a pencil skirt or skinny pants.

Have you been rocking these styles, or thought about it?

Are you feeling the leather trend?

8 Ways to De-Stress

8 Ways to De-stress During The Holidays

If the holidays have you pulling your hair out, you’re not alone. Overcrowded stores, in-laws, office parties, credit card bills and an endless to-do list can take a huge toll on all of us during this time of the year.
Here are 8 easy ways to avoid December and January being months of despair. –April Dawn Ricchuito

1. Act your wage

Set a budget for gift-giving and stick to it. Starting off the year with credit card and bill collectors is not how what you want, so pay with cash and debit cards whenever possible. And remember, the holidays are not about how much money you spend, but rather the time you spend with your family and friends

2. Get it on, girl!

A study in Scotland found that sex can lower blood pressure, stress, and anxiety, so take a break from wrapping gifts and grab your guy for a quickie.

3. Just say no!

Setting boundaries is important, not just on your shopping habits and spending limits but on your time as well. You don’t have to be the quintessential “yes man.” Doing favors for your friends and family is fine, but feeling obligated and pressured to take on the tasks no one else wants to do is not cool. Really, it’s okay to say no! Give yourself that permission.
We promise you won’t be forever known as the Grinch who stole Christmas.

4. Get beauty sleep.

Do your absolute best to stick to your regular sleeping schedule. You don’t have to attend every holiday bash you’re invited to. Grab a 15- to 20-minute power nap during the day. Studies show a midday 20-minute nap is more beneficial than sleeping in.

5. Keep it clean.

A clean house reflects a clear mind. If you don’t have time to get down and dirty, focus on your bedroom. It’ll be much easier to sleep if you’re not surrounded by piles of wrapping paper, gifts, decorations, party outfits, and other reminders of the 5,000 things you have to do in the next few days

6. Clear the mind.

Open your curtains and windows, go outside for a quick jog or swap your plastic wreath for a real one.  A University of Washington study revealed that looking out into the natural world reduces your heart rate, even in stressful situations. Buy a plant or try a centerpiece made of pinecones—and yes, they can be glittery.

Exercise

7. Get moving.

Sticking to a schedule isn’t just important for sleeping—it’s also important to make it to your regularly scheduled workouts. Start with scheduling a treadmill workout. Treat it like any other hot date and make sure you’re there on time and ready to go hard. If you can’t make it to a gym or want to add some extra stretching, try a few restorative yoga stretches.  The “legs on the wall” pose is a favorite. It’s actually nicknamed the “fountain of youth,” as this profound pose not only soothes but re-energizes as well.

Woman Meditating

8. Stop, drop, and meditate.

You may have heard of meditation before, but it’s not something that’s limited to Deepak Chopra, Buddhist monks on mountaintops and women who practice yoga. Meditation is actually something you can do absolutely anywhere, and the mainstream medical community even recognizes the benefits on both physical and psychological health. It can be as simple as concentrating on taking a few deep breaths for a five minute period.
